Wine

Red wine is perhaps the most difficult stain to remove from carpet. As soon as it is spilled, you should immediately remove the excess moisture with absorbent kitchen paper. Be careful though! Do not rub the paper but dab it, so that the stain does not spread further. Then, add salt , which absorbs the moisture and you will be surprised to see that it will gradually turn pink.

If the stain is not gone after rubbing with salt enough, you should apply baking soda directly to the stain , which you will moisten with a little water, to create a paste. Leave it overnight and in the morning, suck it up with a vacuum cleaner.

For easier stains, such as white wine, you can spot-wash with a solution consisting of 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of white vinegar , and one tablespoon of dish soap.

Cerium

The wax is easy to remove, as long as you don’t make any sudden movements. First, you should let it cool down so that it solidifies. Under no circumstances should you rub the wax while it is still wet, because you will simply spread it everywhere on the carpet pile. Then, place a paper towel on the cold wax and press it lightly with an iron at medium temperature. The wax will liquefy and be absorbed by the paper towel.

Coffee

Coffee generally comes off with the same ingredients and the same process as red wine. However, in some cases it may not come off with salt, and then it’s best not to risk it and leave it overnight with baking soda, because nothing may happen.

It is therefore a good idea, once the coffee has been spilled and after removing most of it, to rub the spot with salt, on which you will pour white vinegar . The combination is very strong, so it requires a lot of care if the carpet has bright colors.

Sticky gum

Anyone who has children knows how easily gum can end up stuck to the carpet, and of course it’s almost impossible to remove it because it’s so sticky. There’s a simple trick for that. Place an ice cube on the gum so that it freezes and solidifies. Then, simply peel it off the carpet.

It probably won’t leave any residue. However, if it does leave a little, you can rub it with rubbing alcohol and it will disappear.

Oil

Oil is a fairly difficult stain to remove, as it cannot be cleaned with any natural material. However, a very simple action is enough. With a sponge, which you have moistened with water and a little dish soap , rub the stain from the inside to the outside. Dish detergent is special, to remove oil stains or even grease with minimal rubbing.

If despite all this, the stains are not completely gone, there is no need to despair. Professional carpet cleaning at a carpet cleaner removes all stains, protecting the color and fibers of your carpet.
